Cadzow 2000 displays "The clock in your computer may be wrong" Message

When loading Cadzow 2000 you may receive the following message:

STOP! The clock in your computer may be wrong, please correct it before continuing.

This can happen in the following circumstances:

  1. The PC's clock has been set back;

  2. The PC's clock was set forward and then set back to the proper time; or

  3. The same user logs into Cadzow 2000 from more than one machine and the clocks on those machines are not the same or are not set to the same time zone.

In the normal course of events PC clocks in a network are never perfectly the same and a few seconds or a few minutes difference is acceptable and Cadzow 2000 will not register a clock error. However where the clocks are in the vicinity of 5 or 10 or more minutes out of step this will trigger Cadzow 2000's date checking logic if a user moves around between machines.

The solution is to ensure the clocks in all systems in the network are correct and set to the same time zone.

Depending on the nature of the clock error, you may have to wait for a while before Cadzow 2000 will allow you log back in again. For example, if you logged in when the clock indicates 1pm, and the time is really 12:30pm, after correcting the clock Cadzow 2000 will not allow you log back in again until it is 1pm.
