Cadzow 2000 compatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2

Cadzow has been testing the various beta and release candidate (RC) versions of Windows XP Service Pack 2 for several months.

Apart from a problem installing Snapshot Viewer, which was fixed in RC2, we have encountered no problems using Cadzow 2000 when attached to .MDB (Jet) or SQL Server data sources on any build of SP2.

Now that the final version of SP2 has been released, we can advise that Cadzow 2000 has no problems with it.

SP2 introduces a new feature called Data Execution Prevention (DEP), which prevents certain types of memory manipulation. It operates in a software mode or a hardware mode (if your CPU supports it). Cadzow 2000 seems to experience no difficulties with DEP set to “All Programs” or “Windows Only”, but different settings and hardware configuration combinations may behave differently. See also Cadzow 2000 Launches and Immediately Closes.

If you experience problems with Cadzow 2000 after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, please let us know.
