How to Notify Customers of Your New Bank Account

If you have changed bank accounts you can email any clients who have paid you by EFT. The procedure is:

Step 1: Clear Tags from all Organisations

  1. Go to Contact ManagerEnquiries — Contacts.

  2. Click Next Step (Results).

  3. On the Results List tab, click Tagging….

  4. Click Untag All (including those not in the results list).

  5. Click Yes to confirm.

  6. Click OK to close the confirmation dialog.

  7. Click Close to close the tagging dialog.

  8. Click Close to close the enquiry.

Step 2: Tag Customers Who Have Paid with EFT

  1. Go to Accounts ReceivableEnquiries — Transactions.

  2. Choose Type: Receipts.

  3. Under the Advanced II tab, choose Payment Type: Direct Deposit / EFT / Bpay.

  4. Click Next Step (Results).

  5. Under the Special tab, click Tag all organisations in these results.

  6. Click Yes to confirm.

  7. Click OK to close the confirmation dialog.

  8. Click Close to close the enquiry.

Step 3: Generate an Email List for the Tagged Customers

  1. Go to Contact ManagerEnquiries — Contacts.

  2. Select Tagged Entries Only.

  3. Click Next Step (Results).

  4. Click Send Email.

  5. Choose Generate an email string (that can be copied into one major email message).

  6. Untick Add History Comment.

  7. Untick Limit to active “opt in” emails?

  8. Click Generate an Email String.

  9. Highlight the resulting list of emails and press Ctrl-C to copy into memory. Then paste into a new message using your email program. Be sure to use BCC (Blind Carbon Copy).
