- Copy ADMPlugin.apl from C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\SPPlugins to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\SPPlugins.
To perform this via the command-line: - Open a command-prompt (CMD.EXE). On Windows Vista or later, open it in elevated mode.
- Type:
ren "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\SPPlugins\ADMPlugin.apl" *.8 copy "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\SPPlugins\ADMPlugin.apl" "%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\SPPlugins" - Close the command prompt.
Once Acrobat 8.0 is working properly, Adobe Reader 9.0 may be uninstalled. Disable Vista UACOn Windows Vista and above, disable User Account Control (UAC) and let the user run as a full administrator. |
