ACT! Crashes On Startup

Sage ACT! 2011 immediately crashes on startup and displays “Sage ACT! has stopped working”.

This may be resolved by changing the properties of the ACT! shortcut to run in Windows XP Service Pack 3 mode.

Then run ACT! (which may required privilege elevation). If ACT! opens successfully, disable compatibility mode in the shortcut. ACT! should then open properly in non-compatibility mode.
